Dori Mueller - Sales Representative
I have always been involved in the service of helping people. I've worked in the wedding business, planned corporate events, planned personal events, school events, joined our daugher's school council, volunteered and been on a Board of Directors.
Friends and family would say i'm a bit of a social butterfly (understatement). Always made a point of getting to know neighbours, business networking, and putting on some historically memorable parties, some of which were entirely impromptu. I've lived in Windsor, Oakville, and now Kitchener-Waterloo (for 16 years). Travelled to Europe, the US, Caribbean, across Canada, but now travel to one of the greatest beaches I've seen close to anything tropical located at Ipperwash Beach, Ontario. Newly owned cottager and frequent water baby.
After a few years of being a stay at home mom, dealing with ailing parents, and volunteering for Canadian Cancer Society, Board of Directors for rHummingbird Centre for Hope and School Council for Edna Staebler Public School, the decision was made to branch out back into the workforce. With the guidance of a good friend and realtor, it made sense for me to continue working with people, this time in helping with one of the biggest investments a person could make.
Getting to know and building lasting relationships is part of who I am. I want to leave a legacy and teach our daughter the importance of being a blessing to the people you meet, leave a lasting impression, and a good memory if even a brief one.
First and foremost! I've been in the same position! the 1st time home buyer with the excitement and the anxiety. If I could go back and change anything, I would have relaxed more, look at the house and envision future memories, like the nursery that would be built or the fireplace and the holiday tree, the family bbqs that would happen in the backyard. Not so much what the paint colour on the walls is, or the fixtures and the floors. All things that could be changed in time to one's preference. I'd also advise to really determine need vs want. A lot of extra space means more to clean (not a cleaning fan lol), the convenience of where the nearest schools are, or how quickly I could pick up a coffee, how far would my daily work commute be in all four seasons.
As for travel.. there are great recreational cottage options for reasonable pricing, whether you purchase land and build or lease land and own the cottage, or and older fixer upper that you can create as your own "pad" by the beach. Southwestern Ontario has some of the greatest beaches without the hwy 400 traffic and the distance. I've recently called Ipperwash Beach our 2nd home with great businesses and friendly residents. A perfect getaway from the busy city.
Nothing compares to home. Any building is just a building until you make memories in it. I'm happy to help you envision the future, even if you need some help moving or cleaning, this girl can work it. I also know great local businesses in both areas that can help you along the way. You are never alone in this process. Rent, buy, invest, all great opportunities to make a house a home for anyone.
